Title of the articleThe energy method of estimating the shear compliance of plug-joints of reinforced concrete columns
Abstract.The plug joints of reinforced concrete columns are widely used in industrial and civil construction to connect concrete elements due to their high adaptability. However, the study of domestic and foreign scientific and technical and regulatory literature showed no method of calculation of the shear compliance (deformability), which can result, especially in high-rise buildings and facilities for emergencies. Therefore, the work aimed at creating a methodology for calculating the shear compliance socket joints, is relevant. The article describes the method of estimating shear compliance plug joints composed with polymer suggested by the authors, and developed using the energy method. With increasing compliance increases the stock of elastic energy, and therefore a change of compliance has a strong influence on the kinetics of deformation and fracture. Shear yielding of the joints of the plug of columns is proposed to estimate using the transformed diagrams describing the strain diagram of the junction, obtained on the basis of the conducted experimental studies, therefore, work design is presented in the form of square geometric shapes.
