Title of the article | Ecological lighting using hollow light guides |
Abstract. | The development of modern architecture goes in the direction of sustainability and «green standards». One of the parameters is a green building lighting rooms with natural light of the sun. Natural lighting is not only ecological, but also energy saving. In according to building documents, rooms for a long stay must have natural lighting. This problem can be solved with using a new technology of hollow light guides. The use of hollow light guides is highly desirable in the high single-storey buildings with a high density arrangement of equipment and the difficulty of service, as well as in basements and underground rooms. Identified advantages and disadvantages of the hollow light guides for the organization of natural light in rooms without windows allow us to formulate a comprehensive task of developing the architecture of buildings with using hollow light guides. |
