Title of the article | The features of regional life science clusters formation in agglomerations |
Abstract. | Cluster approach is one of the effective means of the region’s economic development. The main strength of the cluster is its unique concentration of scientific institutions, clinics and business. For the full functioning of the cluster territorial, production, human resources, and the availability of educational centers are necessary as well as higher education institutions and research centers. This investigation describes characteristics of regional cluster formation in the health care system. The primary task of our work is to determine the conditions which are necessary for the formation and successful operation of clusters. For carrying out this task we made the analysis of foreign and domestic experience of cluster formation and as a result, we had identified the main trends and priorities of functioning of the medical cluster. Also, we studied the classification of medical clusters and identified the life science cluster as one of the most important trends of health care system. As a result, we suggest the method of cluster formation on the region’s territory and determine the composition of participants. Finally, we suggest a typological model of life-science cluster. This model was tested on the territory of the Kazan agglomeration. |
