| Title of the article | Questions of restructuring of large scale housing estates |
| Abstract. | Today, the increase in density indicators of housing estates is considered a key factor of creation of the sustainable urban settlements. However density will be able to turn into a stability factor only on condition of a landscape component, and it is that paradigm which was antagonist of the modernist movement. Therefore the main problems touched in the article concern opportunities of spatial and structural transformations of large scale housing estates of the Post-Soviet cities, on the example of 40-41 kompleks Naberezhnye Chelny. The new recreational zones which appeared in the design decision, first of all develop foot availability of all significant points of an attraction of the area, and also give the chance to develop more unloaded and ordered model of the transport movement within the designed territory due to creation of the integrated network of public transport which becomes a key element of the transformed structure of residential districts and the catalyst of growth of public and functional activity not only in trade and commercial aspect, but also from positions of culture, education and recreation. We received the new transport model interconnected by various factors in uniform system with the hierarchical road structure: from priority highways of city and regional values, to boulevards and streets with the route and transport idea which thus isn't clashing with idea of a continuous pedestrian green zone. |
