Abstract. | Conceptual provisions opening the content of «fracture resistance» and «structural potential» of building materials in economic branches are discussing. The questions of technical and economic efficiency of materials and structures with regard to their functional properties were considered. Assessment the effectiveness of «architectural and construction building system» was adopted as methodological dominant. At the present stage of development of building material engineering the increase of fracture resistance of building materials and structures remains one of the most relevant fundamental problems. However, if initially its acuity was concentrated in the technology of formation of structure and strength characteristics, today it is shifted into the sphere of the optimality and efficiency of the production and use of building materials. Based on the foregoing, it is obvious that the development of material engineering should not pass in the direction of the continuous increase in fracture resistance of the construction material, but in the direction of optimization of this parameter based on a functional purpose of the material and economic criteria within the received architectural building construction system. |
