Title of the articleCalculation of strength, stiffness and crack resistance of eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete elements using non-linear deformation model
Abstract. For the first time on a common approach basis – using a non-linear deformation model – a calculation of strength, stiffness and crack resistance of eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete elements with an eccentricity longitudinal force application that varies widely, at all loading stages – from the zero up to fracture, is done. The state diagram of concrete, obtained earlier for flexural members by the authors, adopted as the model basis. For eccentrically compressed elements considered: view diagrams of concrete does not significantly affect the final result in the determination of the bending moments of cracking and fracture. The calculation results of eccentrically compressed and bent elements with similar physical, mechanical and geometrical characteristics, found: - Longitudinal force has no significant effect on the resistance to cracking; - Longitudinal force affects the breaking point – to 23,1 %, depending on the percentage of reinforcement and the eccentricity of its applications; - Rigidity eccentrically struts stiffness than the bent – up to 23 %, depending on the type of the state concrete diagram (the slope of the secant at the point graphic «?-?»), the load, the percentage of reinforcement and eccentric application of longitudinal force.
Keywords.Eccentrically compressed element, reinforced concrete, strength, stress-strain diagram, the diagram method, the method of calculation.
