Title of the article | Urban planning techniques of formation of socially integrated complexes of residential development |
Abstract. | An important dimension of strategy of organization of socially integrated areas is the need to create mixed income communities which successfully integrate different housing types, sizes and tenures in areas with good links to the surrounding urban fabric and which provide access to the full range of services, facilities and jobs. Disintegration of society is a consequence of spatial segregation, the uneven development of urban infrastructure and shortages in some quarters, the state of the housing stock and, mainly, by the desire of the citizens themselves. In addition, the neighborhood is considered an important factor in assessing the prospects of investments – value of the inherited property, prestige residence, near schools with a good reputation, etc. To care for the social well-being added to the rejection of efforts to establish contact with the population, estimated as «alien». A central aim of this guide is to show the extent to which achieving mixed income developments is an important prerequisite for sustainable communities. |
