| Abstract. | The problem of forming the urban planning school is raised in this work. The author stressed the necessity of mastering the structure of European city – some kind of «Order system» to the urban planner. Special attention is paid to the main postulates of raising the New Urbanism movement and the opportunity of using them to the education practice. There are offered some types of practical studies focused the student’s attention to the structural units of urban design, to the morphology of city blocks; to the methods of structure-graphical analysis of the transportation system of the historically formed city; to the breaking up into smaller units the city structure. In order to try to save the education from some kind of typology-normative approach. |
