| Abstract. | Problem statement. The article analyzes the functional urban development of the embankments, identifies features of the formation of recreational forms of the embankments, offers suggestions of the functional planning organization. Results. The main result of the study is to identify the main methods of organizing embankments. In modern practice, characterized by the use of new technologies and materials that attract people with their aesthetics and unusual possibilities of spending time on the embankments. Conclusions. The significance of the results obtained for the architecture is in determining the characteristics of the organization of the embankment zone, integration into the urban environment. Considered a variety of opportunities for the organization of the environment. To create a comfortable environment on embankments, such factors as transport accessibility and safety of pedestrians, functional location of objects, proper arrangement of lighting and landing systems, creation of a unified environment throughout the territory while maintaining natural and ecological balance are taken into a balance. |
