| Аннотация. | Статья посвящена проблеме изучения архитектурного облика Казани рубежа столетий: становлению, развитию и изменениям. Автор рассматривает историографию вопроса и отдельные составляющие, формирующие облик города. Акцентирует внимание на различии понятий «облик города» и «образ города» и одновременную взаимосвязанность. Обращает внимание на важность историко-графических материалов при решении данной проблемы. |

| Abstract. | The architectural appearance of the historic city of Kazan is its trademark. It develops and changes in the process of development of the city and at each time step has features. They are determined by the interaction of the components (landscape, space-planning structure, architectural ensembles, complexes, dominant objects, fabric of the city) and the influence of various factors. Picture perception of the city one was synthesized in the architectural image that reflects in the human mind the real appearance of Kazan at the end of XVIII-beginning of XX centuries. Reconstruct architectural appearance of Kazan this time, perhaps because of its historical and graphic materials of the past. To solve the purpose and objectives of the study, the author intends to apply the methodology of complex and system approach using the methods of functional, stylistic, iconographic and compositional analysis. |
