| Аннотация. | Архитектура крупного города «поглощает» горожанина. Чувство защищенности, уюта, очарования и комфорта возникает в благоустроенной городской среде. Проблема формирования городской среды, непосредственного окружения человека на сегодня одна из самых важных. Как решить ее, прежде всего, архитектурными средствами? Эта среда, как правило, искусственного происхождения, и природа участвует в ней наравне с произведениями искусства и деталями инженерного благоустройства, это синтез архитектурных и растительных форм. Водоемы, фонтаны, скульптура, малые архитектурные формы активно участвуют в формировании городской среды. |

| Title of the article | «Architecture of Water» in the city of Almetyevsk |
| Abstract. | The problem of urban environment and surroundings of an urban dweller’s is actual more than ever. These surroundings are artificial as a matter of fact; the nature acts along with street art and engineering infrastructure. Basins and fountains are essential parts of urban design, creating positive influence on vital functions and operability of human beings, forming the identity of a settlement. Starting from ancient times, water component served as a settlement composition center, as well as functional and aesthetical point of interest. In this article several examples of such landmark fountains can be found: «Trevi» fountain in Rome, Italy, Geneva’s lake fountain in Switzerland and «Bellagio» in Las Vegas, USA. Two tasks are to be accomplished with waterworks; creation of artificial water objects (basins, fountains, art installations and so on) and reconstruction of natural basins. Almetyevsk, Russia serves as an example of the city that hosts some of well-executed projects of urban space improvement: public space improvement in Gagarin st., installation of lake fountain, installation of light and music fountain in public garden. Main nature components are actively participating in urban space: basins and coastal areas, public gardens and squares creating united green structure. Taking into account all premises of a city, by means of multi-leveled design, urban narrative has been built. |
