| Аннотация. | История развития архитектуры транспортных сооружений тесно связана с историей развития человечества. Препятствия на пути передвижения людей в виде рек, оврагов, гор, ущелий заставляли возводить переходы, переправы, мосты. На местах остановок путешественников возникали временные стоянки, которые трансформировались в постоялые дворы, прообразы современных транспортных сооружений, со временем превращаясь в поселения и города. Авторы предлагают классификацию транспортных объектов, включающую здания транспортных объектов и транспортные сооружения. К зданиям транспортных объектов относят вокзалы, речные порты, аэропорты, автовокзалы, гаражи, автостоянки, многофункциональные придорожные комплексы, автозаправочные станции. В группу транспортных сооружений включают мосты, тоннели, переходы, метро, эстакады, открытые автостоянки. Авторы затрагивают некоторые аспекты и проблемы современного проектирования транспортных объектов. |

| Title of the article | Modern typology and some problems of the architecture of transport facilities |
| Abstract. | The history of traffic architecture facilities is closely connected with the history of the mankind. The oldest of them were built even before the new era. Temporary parking on the route of travel, transformed first to the inns, and then eventually evolved into the more advanced settlements and, as a result, often grew into the city. Transport facilities have a very important urban value. They are represented by different types of buildings and structures; they are designed to satisfy the practical needs of people connected with the movement and using a variety of vehicles. The authors propose their own classification of transport objects, including transport building and transport facilities. The transport buildings are terminals, river ports, airports, bus stations, garages, car parks, roadside multifunctional complexes, gas stations. The transport facilities are bridges, tunnels, crossings, subway stops, ramps, open parking. Further, the authors’ detail the most common transport buildings and structures with the illustrations of modern facilities. It is important nowadays to identify the features of forming of the transport objects, to see the problems and the perspectives of their development in the future because in the near future a significant expansion of their typology would be predicted. One of the new types of transportation objects will be combined station complexes, cooperated with other public buildings that will be further reorganized into multifunctional complexes and transport interchange nodes. The advanced technical development introduction and usage of large-shaping surfaces will help to solve the problem of creating extraordinary composite solutions of transport facilities architecture. |
