| Аннотация. | Данная статья посвящена проблемам развития современной архитектуры в условиях реконструкции исторически сложившейся среды города. Проанализированы архитектурные теории и концепции XX-нач. XXI вв. по вопросу сохранения и обновления исторической среды города. Определены актуальные тенденции развития и совершенствования исторической среды города, в том числе с точки зрения использования принципов историко-культурной преемственности, которые основаны на активном использовании объектов культурного наследия и принципах формирования исторической среды – идентичности, морфологических и композиционных закономерностях. |

| Title of the article | Range of issues for contemporary architectural development in historic urban environment |
| Abstract. | The article is dedicated to the problem of development of contemporary architecture provided by reconstruction of well-established historic urban environment. Reconstruction includes a wide range of options for transformation the city as from the total conservation of generated urban structure to its absolute replacement. Therefore, a regular structural improvement has to be performed by principles historic and cultural continuity that based on active constant use of objects of cultural heritage and principles of historic environment formation as identity, morphologic and composition regularity. There is an analysis of XX-XXI centuries’ architectural theories and conceptions about preservative and renewable issues of historic urban environment. It shows two different positions as using historic areas for (1) the further progress of traditional structures and (2) new architectural development without attention to historic urban fabric. There was a definition about actual renewal of historic urban environment that underlies in using principles historic and cultural continuity. Reconstruction and new development will have a success in case of combination two factors as «conservatism» (expressed by «memory», «preservation») and «progressiveness» (expressed by activity of modern city and its economics). Therefore, the following principles underlie in a base of contemporary architectural development in the historic urban territories: (1) general value recognition of historic urban fabric, (2) general understanding of its structure, form (morphology), (3) understanding of redevelopment process in the historic territories, (4) using of principles historic and cultural continuity. |
