| Аннотация. | Статья фокусирует внимание на понятии «уличное пространство», как зоны локализации различных видов движения – автомобильного, рельсового, велосипедного, пешеходного. На основе изучения современной зарубежной практики приводятся структурные и архитектурно-планировочные подходы, направленные на преобразование пространства улицы с целью исключения автоориентированных решений и достижения устойчивого развития городской среды. В статье приводятся результаты проектного предложения по реорганизации системы уличных пространств центральной части Казани, направленные на обеспечение условий сосуществования альтернативных участников уличного движения и восстановления роли центра города, как зоны комфортного пребывания. |

| Title of the article | Contemporary aspects of spatial redevelopment of the street |
| Abstract. | Today it’s necessary to rethink the approach not only to the street design, but to the concept «street», which should conform to requirements of the present and future sustainable development of an urban environment. In order to recognize that streets are not only the elements of transport infrastructure, but also public spaces, they can become catalysts of process of transformation of the urbanized territories. In the context of an urban environment the space of the street has to be convenient for walking, car driving, cycling, public transit and service facilities. Increased density requires a better public realm and streets are a valuable part of it. Central historical part of Kazan is faced with the problems of contradiction the active mobility, the lack of a good walking environment and the arrangement of land uses discourage people from walking. For solving this problems there have been accomplished the complex analysis of a current state of the central part of Kazan and developed the rearrangement of spatial street planning. The proposal provides great amount of opportunities for walking, mobility and redeveloping of green infrastructure, so it can be considered as a network of spaces with a mix of uses and users, with spatial qualities and context orienting. The design results and recommendations are submitted on implementation of the concept of a sustainable development of an urban environment and can be considered in practice on modernization of public spaces of the center of Kazan. |
