Title of the articleTheoretical basis of resistance to cracking of concrete columns in the contact joints
Abstract.Problem statement. Contact joints which include of reinforced concrete columns are common in the construction. The theoretical, numerical and experimental studies, as well as the case studies of Russian and foreign authors Indicate the need to verify the heads of reinforced concrete columns by the formation and opening of cracks in the contact junctions. This is consistent with the regulatory requirements, according to which all building structures must be calculated by two groups of limit states. However, in spite of the fact that the joints are the most responsible part of the design, for them there is currently no such approach. Therefore, the aim of the work is to create a methodology for assessing the fracture toughness of reinforced concrete columns in contact junctions. Results. The paper presents the basics of theoretical studies on the fracture toughness of the zone of crushing of reinforced concrete columns in contact junctions reinforced with indirect reinforcement meshes. The above provisions have been verified by computer simulation methods and experimentally, as well as by the results of research by other scientists. Conclusions. The presented data can be used to create a methodology that allows for calculations on education and on the disclosure of cracks in reinforced concrete columns in contact junctions.
