| Title of the article | Justification of form of pipeline elbow for transportation the loose materials |
| Abstract. | The article analyzes the prior art to reduce the wear elbow of pipeline. In this article is theoretically justified form of bending the elbow of pipeline for the transportation of abrasive loose materials to ensure the movement of the material at a constant pressure to the surface of the elbow and thus, ensures uniform wear of the curved portion. This increases the service life elbow of pipeline for transportation of abrasive loose materials. The author obtained the equations that define the shape and size of the elbow depending on the properties of the transported material and parameters pneumatic conveying. The form of bending the elbow of pipeline depends on parameters such as the coefficient of friction between the particle material and the surface of the elbow, material velocity at entry to this surface and the permissible value of the centripetal acceleration during the motion of the material on it. After assigning specific values of these parameters we can determine the required shape and size of the elbow. |
