Abstract.The task of improving the efficiency and quality of concrete and reinforced concrete was and is very important. It fully can not be successfully achieved without the use of chemical additives in concrete technology. One way to frost and corrosion resistance of buildings and structures of concrete is the introduction of organosilicon compounds in the concrete or mortar mix with the mixing water. Among the large number of chemical additives special interest in water-repellent additives, the most effective ones siliconates sodium. It is also noted that the administration of sodium siliconates concrete crack increases, the modulus of elasticity, thus limiting deformation and compressive tension is not significantly different from the control formulations. Given the wide range of chemical additives market, research is required to determine the most effective modifiers. The paper presents experimental studies repellents domestic production. The effect of modifying the normal density and setting time of cement paste. The data for measuring the contraction of the cement paste with the addition of hydrophobic additives on tester of contraction activity of cement «Cement-prognoz». Also studied the effect of the studied additives on the strength of cement mortar.
