| Abstract. | The significance of the successive evolution of the central historical core of the Kazan city is indisputable. The spatial-planning ideas, that was filled in the first general plan of the city that was designed by architect V. Kaftyrev and that was implemented by himself and followed architects, has been embodied in the beautiful architectural creations, that decorates the historical core of the city. The ensemble of the Kazan University buildings, that was created by V. Korinfskyi, is one of this creations and it is considered as the best of them. The main part of this ensemble is the education building by N. Pyatnitsky. The consecutive successive building of this ensemble that was connected with the town-planning ideas of the first general plan has not fully realized as there was an economical difficulties. The architectural activity in the historical environment can, and may be should, contain the professional understanding of the accumulated problems, one of that is the problem of inclusion of university buildings in the spatial-planning ensemble of the city. |
